The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination can now print their examination slips.
In a statement shared via its official X handle, JAMB disclosed that the slip printing process is now active for all registered candidates. According to the Board, the examination slip contains vital information, including the candidate’s examination venue, date, and time, as well as access details required for entry into the examination hall.
Candidates were advised to visit the official JAMB portal at jamb.gov.ng to print their slips. The Board further instructed applicants to click on the 2026 UTME Slip Printing option on the website to complete the process.
The announcement is seen as a critical step ahead of the forthcoming examination, as candidates are expected to familiarise themselves with their assigned centres and schedules prior to the examination date.
Meanwhile, JAMB also addressed recent reports circulating online claiming that the 2026 UTME has been postponed. The Board described the report as false and misleading.
“Our attention has been drawn to a malicious press release stating that the 2026 UTME has been postponed,” the Board stated.
JAMB clarified that the purported statement did not originate from the examination body and urged candidates and the general public to disregard such misinformation.
The Board reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and credible examination process, advising candidates to rely only on official communication channels for accurate updates regarding the UTME.
Candidates are therefore encouraged to proceed with printing their examination slips promptly and prepare adequately for the examination as scheduled.
