Jigawa State has successfully secured 2,054 slots for the ITF Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) Program beneficiaries across all 27 Local Government Areas.
The exciting news was confirmed by the Honourable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Special Duties, Hon. Auwal D. Sankara (Fica), in an official statement. He revealed that this follows continuous engagement with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to ensure Jigawa youths benefit from the Federal Government’s initiative.
“I am thrilled to inform you about the ITF Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) Program,” Sankara stated. “This is a major initiative by the Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), designed to empower, train, and license millions of Nigerian artisans with tech-enabled skills to promote industry-standard excellence.”
The SUPA program is part of the government’s effort to improve technical skills, create job opportunities, and connect Nigerian artisans to both local and international job markets. The program offers training in various areas including carpentry, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and other trades, with a focus on global best practices.
Hon. Sankara also called on those who applied for the program to check if they made the list of successful beneficiaries. “If you applied for the ITF SUPA Artisans Program, please check the images posted below to see if your name is on the list of successful beneficiaries,” he advised.
