Kano State will hold the State Flag-off Ceremony for the distribution of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) and the launch of other health interventions on Thursday, 7th August 2025. The event will take place at Takai Primary Health Centre, Takai LGA, starting at 9:00 am.
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, will officiate the ceremony. According to the organisers, “We would be honoured by your presence at this important occasion.”
The programme will also feature the establishment and reactivation of Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) centres, aimed at improving nutrition and reducing child mortality.
In addition, the SARMAAN II Mass Drug Administration project will be launched to combat neglected tropical diseases.
Another highlight will be the foundation laying for the renovation of primary health centres under the Kano Impact Project, designed to revitalise healthcare infrastructure across the state.
