Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has reaffirmed his administration’s strong commitment to women empowerment during a meeting with the Coalition of Women Initiative Program at Government House, Katsina.
He highlighted ongoing projects designed to tackle poverty and boost small businesses, including the Goat Rearing Scheme which supports 10 women per ward, the Ramadan Support Program, and the upcoming Nigeria for Women Affinity Project.
Speaking at the event, Governor Radda stated, “Empowering women means empowering families and society,” adding that his government will ensure fairness and inclusiveness in all women-focused initiatives. He stressed that the various programs are tailored to reduce poverty while creating opportunities for women to actively participate in economic development.
The delegation, led by Hajiya Binta Husaini Dangani, expressed their sympathy over the recent banditry attack and the accident involving the Governor. They pledged their loyalty and called for 50% representation of women in government activities.
