The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, on Monday completed the first phase of the Kosofe Cares ₦100 Million Empowerment Scheme, releasing ₦25 million to 250 beneficiaries. The initiative, designed to support grassroots development and strengthen economic growth, reflects the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda.

According to the Chairman, each beneficiary received direct financial support aimed at boosting small enterprises, enhancing self-reliance, and improving household income. He stated that the goal is to empower residents to build stable businesses that can generate employment and contribute to local economic activity. “We are committed to inclusive prosperity, and I urge all beneficiaries to make good use of this support,” he said.

The empowerment scheme will run in four phases, reaching a total of 1,000 residents. With high interest in financial assistance and local business growth, the program continues to position Kosofe as a leading model for community-focused governance.
