1st July 2025, Kogi State – The Kogi State Social Investment Programme Agency (KOSSIPA) has trained 409 Community Facilitators to help roll out the federal government’s Household Prosperity and Empowerment (HOPE) Programme across the state.
The training, organised by the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Unit, aims to ensure smooth delivery of financial support to vulnerable households.
The HOPE Programme is part of a national poverty alleviation strategy that provides conditional cash transfers to support low-income families. Beneficiaries will receive the grants through structured payment options, depending on their assigned payment providers.
These include a one-time payment of N75,000, a split of N50,000 followed by N25,000, or three instalments of N25,000 each.
KOSSIPA CEO and State Coordinator, Haj. Aishat Oyiza Omade, who chaired the sensitization workshop, said, “This exercise is critical to ensure that facilitators understand the importance of transparency and community involvement. We are committed to making sure no eligible beneficiary is left behind.”
With Kogi State playing a significant role in reaching the remaining 9.4 million households nationwide, the workshop focused on accountability and proper engagement.
The training supports federal efforts to improve household income, encourage financial inclusion, and promote economic stability through government-backed cash transfer programmes.
