The Kano State Agro-pastoral Development Project (KSADP), in partnership with Sasakawa Africa Association, has launched the distribution of farm inputs for the 2025 Wet Season across key areas in Kano. The initiative is designed to boost crop yields and improve food security.
Inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides were distributed to smallholder farmers in Gwarzo, Dawakin Kudu, Makoda, and Garun Mallam LGAs.
According to the organizers, the project is funded by the Islamic Development Bank and the Lives and Livelihoods Fund. “Our goal is to support 450,000 smallholder farmers across all 44 local government areas in Kano State,” a KSADP official stated.
