June 18, 2025, the Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSITM) welcomed a delegation from the Katsina Local Government Council. The visit focused on forming a partnership to train local government staff in digital literacy and computer skills.
Dr. Musa Ahmed Zayyad, MCPN, MNCS, Rector of KSITM, said, “This initiative is part of our effort to equip council personnel with the digital tools and knowledge needed to perform better in a technology-driven environment.”
The training aims to improve service delivery and foster ICT development across Katsina State. It also highlights the growing need for digital transformation in public service and grassroots governance.
“This collaboration shows our shared commitment to developing human capital and boosting ICT proficiency,” Dr. Musa added.
The meeting emphasized practical ICT training as a way to build digital capacity and encourage smart governance in local councils.
