Kwara Gov approves 2024 cash backing for TESCOM

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the 2024 cash backing for three thousand five hundred and ninety-four teaching and non-teaching staff of the State’s Teaching Service Commission, with immediate effect.

The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar, disclosed this today in his office while addressing the management staff of the commission. He said the approval is another proof of the Governor’s dedication to the welfare of teachers in Kwara State.

According to him, “the approval is another testimony to Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to improving the welfare of teachers in the State.”

Bello explained that since taking office in 2019, Governor AbdulRazaq has consistently supported the education sector through timely cash backing of promotions. He recalled that on assumption of office, the Governor approved cash backing for promotions covering 2015, 2016, and 2017, and has continued the process up to 2023.

He assured the teaching and non-teaching staff that the current administration remains committed to ensuring that all promotions are cash backed as at when due.

The Chairman commended the Governor’s huge investment in education, describing it as a step that boosts staff morale and improves productivity in the state. He added, “we appreciate Governor AbdulRazaq’s huge investment in teacher’s welfare and we assure him of the commission’s support and dedication to work at all times, with a promise to justify our pay with hard work.”
