The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, invites applications for the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (LAP), a practical initiative designed to equip young people with modern agricultural and agribusiness skills. The programme offers opportunities across key agricultural value chains and agribusiness, with a training stipend ranging from ₦10,000 to ₦15,000 for participants.
The Lagos Agripreneurship Programme is structured to expose participants to real opportunities within the food system through hands-on training, internship placements, and mentorship. It aligns with the State Government’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Development Agenda, focusing on capacity building, employment generation, and improved food security. LAP aims to empower youths, reduce unemployment, and develop a strong network of skilled agripreneurs.
Two training options are available. The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Araga, Epe, is a one-month residential programme. Participants will receive a transport stipend of ₦15,000 after completing the training phase. The Farm Service and Entrepreneurial Centre (FSEC), Oko-Oba, Agege, is a 10-day non-residential programme, with a transport stipend of ₦10,000 provided after training.
To be eligible for the ATI programme, applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old, possess a minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate, be in good health, and have a valid LASRRA number. For the FSEC programme, applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old and meet the same educational, health, and LASRRA requirements.
Applicants are allowed to register only once. Multiple submissions using the same details will lead to automatic disqualification. There is no specified application deadline.
