The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, has intensified efforts to tackle unemployment as it convened a strategic industry engagement to accelerate the delivery of its 100,000 Lives Strategic Framework.
The meeting was held on Friday in the Ministry’s Conference Room with Workforce Consulting and Courier Logistics Limited. Discussions focused on building structured collaboration that will translate into expanded job opportunities, strengthened employability pathways, and sustainable income generation for Lagos residents.
Speaking during the engagement, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Lolade Aina, said the Ministry is deliberately shifting from policy conversations to measurable employment outcomes.
“The goal is clear — impact. We are not just counting numbers; we are ensuring that lives are meaningfully transformed through access to decent work and enterprise opportunities. Strategic industry collaboration is critical to achieving this,” she stated.
Aina explained that the Ministry remains committed to aligning government initiatives with private sector capacity to close skills gaps, improve workforce readiness, and create scalable employment solutions across the state.
She noted that the engagement reflects the Ministry’s determination to move with urgency and precision in delivering on its mandate, reinforcing Lagos State’s position as a hub for opportunity, innovation, and economic empowerment.
