Lagos State begins LSHSC recruitment for clinical staff

September 22, 2025 – Lagos State Health Service Commission (LSHSC) has opened portal for the commencement of applications for the recruitment of clinical staff into General Hospitals across the state. This move, according to the Commission, is in line with the THEMES Agenda of the present administration and part of the promise to deliver qualitative healthcare to residents. The Governor explained that the approval will help reduce the impact of brain drain and ensure optimal healthcare delivery in the state’s twenty-nine secondary healthcare facilities.

Vacancies are available in the following positions:
a. Consultant in various specialties
b. Senior Registrar
c. Medical Officer
d. Dental Officer
e. Pharmacist
f. Physiotherapist
g. Med. Lab. Scientist
h. Optometrist
i. Radiographer
j. Nursing Officer
k. Dental Therapist
l. Pharmacy Technician
m. Med. Lab. Technician
n. Medical House Officers
o. Pharmacy Interns
p. Med. Lab. Intern
q. Physiotherapy Intern
r. Optometry Intern
s. Radiograpy Intern
t. Nurse Intern

The general qualification requirements for applicants include relevant degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited institution in the respective field, registration with the appropriate professional council or regulatory board in Nigeria, valid licence, permit, or provisional licence to practise (as applicable), NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, and WAEC certificate or its equivalent.

The Health Service Commission stated that the online application portal opens from Monday 22nd September, 2025, to Friday 3rd October, 2025.

Interested applicants are advised to visit the official recruitment portal at https://lshsc.com.ng/home/recruitment to submit applications.

The Commission emphasised that “no application will be accepted after the closing date,” and warned that the recruitment process is free. “LSHSC does not ask for any form of payment to apply or be called for interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the Computer Based Test and Interview,” the statement added.
