Lagos Trains Officials on NASSP-SU Direct Transfer Benefit Programme

The Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has organised a high-level sensitisation programme for state and federal government officials overseeing the National Social Safety Nets Project–Scale Up (NASSP-SU). The initiative, which covers the Direct Transfer Benefit Programme designed to support vulnerable persons and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing their businesses, took place on Wednesday at the STO Resource Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Honourable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, and the Permanent Secretary, ESV Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka, were represented by the Director, Human Resource and Administration, Mrs. Kudirat Aderonke Bello. She highlighted the importance of the sensitisation programme, stressing the role of officials in ensuring smooth implementation.

In her remarks, Mrs. Bello said, “I urge you all to remain steadfast, as the success of this programme largely depends on your commitment and dedication to the process.” She added that the Direct Transfer Benefit Programme would significantly impact vulnerable groups and promote economic growth in Lagos State.

Also present at the event were the Chairman, House Committee on Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Stella Foluke Osafile, and senior Directors from the Ministry, who reaffirmed their support for the initiative aimed at driving social protection and poverty alleviation across the state.
