The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) has announced the next phase of its 2026/2027 cohort application process as the Lagos State-backed leadership programme moves into the assessment stage for shortlisted applicants.
In an update shared on its official channels, the academy said candidates who successfully completed the earlier application stage will now proceed through multiple evaluation phases designed to identify “bold, visionary, and impact-driven young leaders.”
According to LJLA, the next stages include a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBT), essay writing, leadership evaluation hub, leadership pitch through video submission, and the final selection process.
The academy stated that each stage has been carefully structured to assess leadership capacity, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and the applicants’ readiness to contribute to governance and public sector transformation in Nigeria.
“The selection process for the 2026/2027 Cohort of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy continues with the next stages of assessment,” the statement read.
LJLA also advised applicants to regularly monitor their emails and official social media platforms for updates, instructions, and announcements relating to the exercise.
“Applicants are encouraged to check their emails regularly and stay connected to our social media platforms for important updates and announcements,” the academy added.
The programme remains one of Lagos State’s major youth leadership and governance initiatives focused on developing young Nigerians for public service, policy development, and transformational leadership roles.
The academy, named after former Lagos State Governor Lateef Jakande, has continued to attract applications from young Nigerians interested in leadership development, governance, innovation, and public impact.
LJLA urged candidates to stay informed throughout the process and prepare adequately for the various assessment stages.
