The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) has issued a public disclaimer warning Nigerian farmers about a surge in fraudulent messages, phone calls, and social media posts falsely promoting the “NADF AgGrow Programme.”
In an official statement, NADF stressed, “We do not request BVN, NIN, bank details, or any personal information via SMS, calls, or social media.”
NADF also made it clear that participation in the AgGrow Programme is free of charge. “There are no registration or processing fees. All input distribution is strictly handled by pre-qualified agro-processors. No farmer is required to make payments,” the statement read.
Under the genuine AgGrow initiative, inputs are 100% funded by NADF and disbursed only through registered processors. Farmers are verified using biometric systems, and all farms are geo-tagged via NADF’s digital monitoring platform.
“There are no direct repayments by farmers. Agro-processors cover 50% of the input costs after harvest,” NADF confirmed.
Farmers are urged to report scams to info@nadf.gov.ng to protect their data and livelihood.
