The 2025 Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE) will feature a major short course aimed at investors, finance executives, business strategists, and non-engineers interested in the oil and gas sector.
The course is titled “Practical Due Diligence of African Oil & Gas Assets for Non-Engineers and Investors” scheduled for August 2–3, 2025, at Eko Hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Dr. Bukola Olusola, a petroleum economist with international experience in Canada, Nigeria, and the UK, will lead the session.
According to the organizers, the course will “introduce participants to the techniques of conducting due diligence on oil and gas assets using real-world case studies.”
Topics to be covered include the evaluation of rock and fluid properties, analysis of wells and surface facilities, estimation of oil and gas reserves, production forecasting, and how operations impact revenue.
Participants will also learn how to interpret capital and operating costs and apply due diligence reports to guide investment decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments.
The course uses high-value energy sector keywords like oil and gas investment, energy asset evaluation, and technical due diligence to reflect its relevance to current market trends.
“This course gives non-technical professionals the tools to evaluate oil and gas assets across Africa with clarity and confidence,” said Dr. Bukola.
Led by the theme Building a Sustainable Energy Future: Leveraging Technology, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Policy, NAICE 2025 aims to attract top professionals from across Africa’s energy landscape.
Course attendees will gain:
