The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is calling on stakeholders to provide comments on three newly released Consultation Papers. In line with its role under the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003, the NCC has published proposals on the Licensing Regulations 2019, Enforcement Processes Regulations 2019, and Internet Code of Practice 2019.
According to the Commission, “The Consultation Papers have been published on the Commission’s website (www.ncc.gov.ng) and it expects comments and feedback on the regulatory proposals presented in the Consultation Papers.”
This call for public input aims to strengthen Nigeria’s digital economy, improve regulatory frameworks, and support a safer and more competitive telecom industry.
The NCC believes stakeholder engagement is key to developing policies that protect consumers and encourage compliance.
The notice, dated July 25, 2025, invites all interested parties to send written submissions addressed to Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission, Plot 423, Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja (Attention: Head, Legal and Regulatory Services).
Submissions can also be sent via email to stakeholders@ncc.gov.ng. All feedback must be received on or before Friday, August 29, 2025.
