The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Inter Core Solutions Limited, has commenced a five-day training programme for 100 Nigerian youths focused on meter assembly, installation, and calibration within the oil and gas sector.

The capacity-building initiative began on January 19, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude on January 23, 2026. The training is being held in Lagos State and brings together participants selected to gain practical technical skills relevant to industry operations.

According to the organisers, the programme is designed to equip participants with hands-on knowledge in assembling, installing, and calibrating meters commonly used across oil and gas facilities. This practical exposure is expected to improve their technical competence and readiness for employment.

The training sessions combine classroom instruction with field-based demonstrations, allowing participants to understand industry standards, safety practices, and equipment handling. At the end of the programme, participants will receive certificates recognising skills.

The collaboration between NCDMB and Inter Core Solutions Limited reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen local content development through targeted skills training. By investing in youth capacity building, the partners aim to support workforce development and encourage Nigerian participation across the oil and gas value chain.
