The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has trained 50 youths in Edo State on refrigeration and air-conditioning repair to help them gain practical technical skills and improve their chances of employment or starting small businesses.
The two-week vocational training was held in Benin City from February 23 to March 6, 2026, focusing on hands-on learning in installation, maintenance and repair of cooling systems used in homes and businesses.
Speaking at the programme, a representative of Stowpoint Services Limited, Chioma Okafor, praised the initiative.
“This programme will help young people build real skills and create opportunities for themselves,” she said.
She added that empowering youths with practical training can strengthen local capacity and support economic growth.
