The agency noted that the misleading notice, which alleged a “strategic pause” in the recruitment process, has caused confusion among prospective applicants and the general public.

It warned that such false information could be the handiwork of individuals seeking to mislead unsuspecting Nigerians, urging citizens to exercise caution when engaging with unverified content online.

The Service further advised members of the public to disregard the viral message in its entirety and rely solely on information disseminated through its verified platforms.

According to the statement, all official announcements regarding recruitment exercises, including application procedures and timelines, would be communicated through its recognised channels.

The NCS reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and professionalism in all its operations, including recruitment processes.

It also urged prospective applicants to remain patient and vigilant, adding that any genuine update concerning recruitment would be made public in due course.
