The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has officially commissioned the Renewed Hope Multi-Purpose Training Centre in Otuokpoti, Bayelsa State. The event marks a major milestone in the commission’s efforts to promote inclusive growth and sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
Speaking at the event, NDDC Managing Director, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, said, “This facility will empower our youth with skills that lead to job creation and self-reliance.” The centre can host up to 1,000 trainees at a time.
Present were the Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, EFCC Chairman Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede, and Senate Committee Chairman on NDDC, Sen. Asuquo Ekpenyong. Also in attendance were NDDC Chairman Mr. Chiedu Ebie, board members, lawmakers, and military officials, showing strong federal support for regional empowerment and vocational education.
