Applicants to the Data Privacy Ambassadors Program (DPAP) have begun receiving official email notifications regarding their application status, according to an update from the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

The commission confirmed that messages have been sent directly to registered email addresses of applicants under the programme, urging them to take immediate action. “If you applied for the Data Privacy Ambassadors Program (DPAP), a message has been sent to your email,” the notice stated.

Applicants are advised to check both their inbox and spam folders to ensure they do not miss the communication, which contains important updates tied to the next phase of the programme. The NDPC emphasised that timely access to this information is critical, as further steps are already in motion.

“Check your inbox (and spam folder) for important updates. Next steps are waiting for you. Don’t miss out,” the commission added.

The DPAP, an initiative of the NDPC, is designed to expand awareness and capacity around data protection practices across Nigeria, engaging selected participants as ambassadors to promote compliance and education.

Nigeria Startup News reports that with notifications now dispatched, the process appears to be moving into its next stage, placing responsibility on applicants to review instructions sent via email and proceed accordingly.
