June 28, 2025 – The Nigerian Senate confirmed the Federal Government’s approval for the recruitment of 30,000 additional youth into the Nigeria Police Force.

Senator Ahmad Abdulhamid Malam Madori, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs and representative of Jigawa North East, revealed this to reporters in his office. He said the Police Service Commission has been authorised to carry out the recruitment process.

According to Senator Madori, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given the commission go ahead to recruit the number every year to fill the gap in the Force.” He explained that the move is aimed at addressing manpower shortages and improving security across the country.

He added that the Police Service Commission will officially announce the recruitment through national newspapers and other trusted platforms. He also urged Nigerians to remain cautious and avoid scammers during the recruitment process.
