The National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists has announced the recipients of the 2025 NIPES Awards, recognising outstanding achievements in engineering, science, innovation, and policy across global communities.

According to NIPES, the 2025 edition marks the first cycle of the annual programme, created to highlight individuals and organisations shaping the future of sustainable development, advanced technology, and human-centred research across borders.

In a statement on Tuesday, NIPES said the awardees stood out not only through technical excellence and thought leadership but also by demonstrating measurable impact across industries, communities, and international research ecosystems. The institute noted that the awards attracted 1,203 nominations from around the world, with each entry undergoing a rigorous four-stage review process.

The review process included initial screening for eligibility and category relevance, peer nomination and review by senior fellows and international scholars, technical evaluation by panels of experts from academia, industry and government, and final endorsement by the NIPES Awards Committee in collaboration with the Office of the President.

NIPES explained that this approach reflects its commitment to merit and fairness. “This multi-layered approach reflects our commitment to recognising only the most deserving candidates, individuals who not only advance science and engineering but also demonstrate measurable impact in society,” the institute stated.
