The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has launched a free Long Vacation Kids Coding Bootcamp for children aged 8–12 years. The programme runs from August 11 to September 5, 2025, at the Northwest Zonal Office Computer Training Laboratory in Amana City, Kano State.
Speaking on the initiative, NITDA said, “This bootcamp is designed to nurture creativity, logic, and digital confidence in young minds.” The programme aims to train at least 120 children, selected through parent consent forms distributed to schools and individuals around the zonal office.
The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on Digital Literacy and Inclusivity.
NITDA added, “Through this programme, we are supporting NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0) to cultivate young talents in Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.”
Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children early to ensure participation in this free digital learning opportunity.
