September 17, 2025 – Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) Tech Startup Pitch Competition 2025 has opened applications, offering Nigerian youth founders and tech innovators the chance to win from a $25,000 prize pool. Powered by Superteam Nigeria and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, and delivered by Sapphital, the program is designed to support startups led by young Nigerians with big ideas.
“This is your platform to pitch your vision, showcase your hustle, and win the support you need to grow,” organizers announced. They added that NiYA is “committed to opening doors of opportunity for Nigerian youth, empowering the next generation of changemakers.”
Eligibility criteria :
i. Must be age 18–35 years
ii. Must currently live in Nigeria
iii. Tech startups only, with at least two co-founder (no solo entries)
iv. A completed NiYA communityptrofile
v. A course completion certificate from NiYA
Interested applicants are required to submit their entries through the official portal link at https://niya.gov.ng/niyastartup. According to NiYA, winners of the competition will not only be announced but will also walk away with their prizes in the first week of October.
