Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) has sent emails to fellows announcing the start of a mandatory revalidation exercise ahead of the launch of NJFP 2.0 in October 2025. The programme explained that the exercise will allow unmatched fellows to re-register and update their details in line with the new framework.
According to the management of NJFP, the next phase will focus on efficiency and better delivery. “As we prepare to unveil NJFP 2.0 in October 2025, we are introducing an improved framework that promises greater efficiency, stronger delivery, and better alignment between host organizations and fellows,” the statement read.
The programme highlighted that revalidation is compulsory for those who still want to be considered for NJFP 2.0 but stressed that it will not automatically lead to placement. “Revalidation does not guarantee placement. Selection and matching will be based strictly on the updated programme framework, eligibility criteria, and host organization requirements,” it added.
NJFP said the exercise is intended to make sure all data is current, accurate, and aligned with the new standards. It also acknowledged that some fellows have been in the talent pool for more than two years. “We understand that some of you have been in the NJFP talent pool for over two years, and we recognize the patience and commitment this has required,” the email stated.
The management explained that NJFP 2.0 will undergo reforms to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and value for both fellows and host organizations. Fellows are encouraged to participate fully in the revalidation while also exploring other opportunities for career growth, skill-building, and professional development.
The deadline for the revalidation exercise is Friday, 3rd October 2025. All unmatched fellows must complete the process if they wish to be considered for placement under the updated programme.

NJFP stated, “Revalidation is mandatory but it does not guarantee placement. Matching will follow the updated programme framework and eligibility requirements.”

The deadline for the NJFP 2.0 revalidation exercise has been extended to 8th October 2025.
