NNPC flags off Northern Zone vulnerable farmers training programme

September 7, 2025 – The NNPC Foundation has announced the flag-off of the Northern Zone Vulnerable Farmers’ Training Programme, aimed at supporting smallholder farmers with modern farming knowledge and agribusiness skills.

According to the Foundation, the initiative will help improve food security, boost agricultural productivity, and strengthen rural livelihoods. “We are committed to empowering farmers with the right tools and training that will enable them to thrive in today’s agricultural sector,” the Foundation stated during the announcement. The programme is scheduled to run across different clusters in September 2025 as follows:

1. Kogi/Benue/Kwara Cluster
Dates: September 8th-10th, 2025
Venue: Ijagodo Secondary School Hall, Akpanya, Igalamela Odolu LGA, Kogi State
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily

2. FCT (Abuja)/Niger Cluster
Dates: September 12th-14th, 2025
Venue: Bwari Town Hall, Bwari Area Council, FCT
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily

3. Nasarawa/Plateau Cluster
Dates: September 17th-19th, 2025
Venue: Youth Center, Nasarawa LGA, Nasarawa State
Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily
