NNPC Shuts Down PH Refinery, Gives Reason

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced that the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) will begin a planned shutdown on May 24, 2025, for maintenance and sustainability checks. The company confirmed that the move is part of efforts to improve energy production and long-term fuel distribution. “We are working closely with all relevant stakeholders, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA),” NNPC Ltd. stated.
