The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has held its monthly management meeting at the Command Headquarters. The session, led by the State Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo, focused on strengthening discipline and improving operational efficiency.
Commandant Sotiyo warned officers involved in job racketeering to stop immediately ahead of the upcoming NSCDC recruitment. He stated clearly, “Any personnel found culpable of defrauding unsuspecting members of the public in the name of offering employment will face severe consequences in accordance with extant rules.” He stressed the importance of maintaining professionalism and integrity in service.
The meeting addressed key areas of improvement such as upgrading operational methods, digitalizing departments and units, and creating a centralized system for record-keeping. These changes aim to streamline the Command’s operations and align them with best global practices.
The Commandant also spoke about upcoming plans for capacity development within the agency. “The aim of the training is to enhance the skills and knowledge of personnel, ensuring they remain effective in their roles. All trained armed personnel are to participate in the training, which will cover critical areas,” he explained.
