Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the sum of ₦31.35 million as financial support for 209 indigenes of the state currently studying across the seven campuses of the Nigerian Law School.
The Executive Secretary of the Ekiti State Scholarship Board, Mrs. Bukola Faluyi, disclosed this in a statement released in Ado-Ekiti. She explained that the approval was part of the Governor’s Shared Prosperity mantra, which focuses on inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and human capital development.
According to her, the financial assistance highlights Governor Oyebanji’s strong commitment to ensuring that Ekiti students have access to quality education and are supported in achieving their professional goals. She added that each beneficiary will receive ₦150,000 to help with tuition and living expenses during their law school programme.
“The support reflects the Governor’s determination to invest in the future of Ekiti youths,” Faluyi said.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for the gesture, describing him as a visionary leader dedicated to improving education and supporting the aspirations of young people. They commended his consistent concern for students’ welfare and his efforts to create more opportunities for growth and development within the state.
