June 11, 2025 – The Oyo State Government has resumed distribution of farm inputs under the NG-CARES programme this June 2025. In September 2024, 3,660 smallholder farmers received seeds, stems, fertilisers, herbicides, livestock, and other essential items. “This initiative supports food security and rural income,” an official said. The Oyo State NG-CARES programme focuses on improving agriculture through high-quality inputs and economic support for local farmers.
