Plateau State Ministry of Health has debunked circulating messages on social media claiming that a list of shortlisted candidates for recruitment has been released. In an official statement, the Hon. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicholas Ba’amlong, made it clear that no such list exists and described the viral information as false and misleading.

Dr. Ba’amlong stated, “The Ministry has not undertaken such action as no list of shortlisted applicants has been released. The circulating information is false, unauthorized, and intended to mislead the public.”

The Ministry has urged the public to disregard such claims, warning that they are likely part of a scam scheme designed to defraud unsuspecting individuals. It also advised citizens to be cautious of messages requesting personal information or payments related to the fake recruitment shortlist.

“We strongly advise the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious messages or individuals requesting personal information or payments in relation to this false shortlisted candidate claim,” Dr. Ba’amlong added.

The Ministry further reassured the public of its commitment to due process, transparency, and integrity in all its recruitment activities. It stressed that any genuine recruitment announcements will only be made through authorised government platforms such as the State Government’s official website, verified social media pages, and credible news outlets.

“At no point will the Ministry publish a list of shortlisted candidates through unofficial channels or social media broadcasts,” the statement emphasised.

The Ministry of Health is calling on all citizens to rely strictly on verified sources for accurate and up-to-date information regarding its activities to avoid falling victim to scams.
