The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has invited shortlisted candidates for its 2026/2027 Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS) to attend a postgraduate interview scheduled to hold in Abuja.
In an email sent to applicants, the Fund stated that the interview will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, by 9:00 a.m. at the PTDF Building located in the Central Business District of the Federal Capital Territory.
The invitation followed the completion of the application process for the highly competitive scholarship programme, which supports Nigerian students to pursue MSc and PhD degrees in selected institutions abroad.
According to the notification, candidates are required to present original copies of their academic and identification documents for verification. These include O’ Level results, Bachelor’s degree certificates, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate or discharge letter, and proof of local government identification.
PhD applicants are also expected to provide their Master’s degree certificates, while all candidates must present evidence of membership of relevant professional bodies where applicable.
The PTDF further advised candidates to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled interview time to allow for proper documentation and screening.
The Fund wished all invited candidates success in the interview process, which is a critical stage in the selection of beneficiaries for the overseas scholarship scheme.
The PTDF Overseas Scholarship Scheme is one of the Federal Government’s flagship initiatives aimed at building capacity in the oil and gas sector by sponsoring qualified Nigerians for advanced studies in top institutions around the world.
