Rivers State to Host Job Fair With Over 86 Companies

The Rivers State Government, in partnership with the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), will host the maiden edition of the Rivers State Job Fair.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment, Dr. Chisom Kenneth Gbali, said the one-day event is designed to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, with over 86 reputable companies expected to participate.

According to the statement, the job fair is themed “Addressing Youth Employability for Prosperity” and will take place at the Dr. Obi Wali International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, on Thursday 22 January 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Gbali said the initiative will “provide a unique platform for young professionals and job seekers to engage directly with employers, build professional networks, and explore career and development opportunities”.

He added that industry experts and stakeholders will be present, describing the fair as “an opportunity for individuals seeking to advance their careers or expand connections”.
