Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) has denied claims that it has opened internship or housemanship recruitment for the 2026/2027 session.
The management of the hospital, in a disclaimer issued on Wednesday, said no such recruitment exercise had been announced or commenced, describing circulating online reports as false and unauthorised.
The hospital said the notice became necessary following the spread of misleading publications and messages suggesting that applications were ongoing for internship placements at RSUTH and other institutions within Port Harcourt.
It warned prospective applicants and the general public to disregard any advert requesting applications, payments, or submissions through unofficial channels, including personal phone numbers and third-party websites.
According to the management, any such information should be treated with caution as the hospital does not engage in recruitment outside its verified platforms.
RSUTH advised healthcare graduates seeking internship or housemanship placements to rely strictly on its official communication channels for accurate and timely updates.
It added that when recruitment officially opens, the announcement will be made through verified RSUTH platforms, recognised national newspapers, and official hospital notice boards.
The hospital reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, due process, and fairness in all its recruitment activities, urging the public to contact only official channels for enquiries.
