Saudi Arabia Disability Research Prize 2026 opens with $133,000 grant

The Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Abuja has announced the call for nominations for the 2026 Salman International Prize for Disability Research, urging qualified Nigerians to apply before the deadline.

In a notice to the public, the embassy disclosed that the award seeks to recognise institutions and researchers whose work has significantly improved the lives of persons with disabilities and their families through impactful research.

The prize covers five key categories including medicine and health, education and psychology, rehabilitation and social sciences, adoption of technology in disability fields, and accessibility.

Winners in each category will receive a financial grant of $133,000, alongside a medal and certificate of appreciation.

Interested applicants are advised to submit their nominations via the official website: www.ksadr.org.sa, while further enquiries can be directed to the organisers through email at award@ksdr.org.sa.

The nomination deadline is March 31, 2026. Nigerian researchers and institutions have been strongly encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity.
