The Committee for Verification and Payment of Gratuities to Retirees, led by the State Accountant General, Umar B. Ahmad Tambuwal, has announced a fresh exercise for retired workers. In a statement issued in Sokoto, the Committee invited retirees who left service in January and February 2021, as well as those who retired in April 2025, to check their names today, Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the Committee, “retirees whose names appear on the list are directed to report to the Ministry on Saturday, October 4, 2025, by 10:00 a.m. for verification.” The statement further explained that the process will continue on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Ministry’s Headquarters.
Retirees are expected to bring along the original and photocopy of their computation sheet, their Pension Identification Card, or any valid means of identification to complete the verification exercise.
