September 19, 2025 – Stanbic IBTC has announced the launch of the Stanbic IBTC Digital Skills Empowerment Programme (DiSEP) 5.0, designed to give Nigerian youth access to advanced digital training, upskilling opportunities, and paid certifications at no cost. According to the organizers, “DiSEP 5.0 will cover courses such as C#, AWS, Java, Azure, DevOps, and more, giving participants industry-relevant skills that global employers are searching for.”
The initiative is aimed at equipping young Nigerians with digital expertise that can boost employability and support career growth in high-demand technology sectors. Stanbic IBTC noted that shortlisted candidates will also be required to pass an online pre-training assessment before being admitted into the program.
Qualification and Career Interests
i. Applicants should be interested in building a career in the following technical fields; Kubernetes, NET Core, C#, Software Testing and Automation, DevOps, Java.
ii. Minimum of a Second Class Lower degree in an Information Technology or Engineering related course from an accredited University.
iii. Minimum of five credits (Mathematics and English inclusive) in GCE, NECO or its equivalent
iv. Applicants must have concluded NYSC and must have discharge certificate in hand.
v. Applicant’s Date of Birth, Gender and class of degree must be clearly stated.
vi. Applicant must not be more than 28 years old as at the time of application
