The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), in partnership with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), has opened applications for free business registration across the country.
Nigeriastartupact.ng had earlier reported that according to SMEDAN, the initiative will provide 250,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with free registration to support young entrepreneurs and improve access to business opportunities.
SMEDAN has now released the official step-by-step guide for interested Nigerian to be among the 250,000 entrepreneurs who will benefit from the free business registration with the CAC. Simply visit the portal and follow the steps below to apply today.
Interested applicants are expected to complete the process online. The steps for registration are clearly outlined:
- Visit the portal: portal.smedan.gov.ng
- Sign up and complete your registration on the portal
- When asked if you have a CAC number, select “No”
- Submit your details and complete the registration process
- Once registration is completed, you will be contacted with the next steps to finalize your free CAC registration.
