The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has commenced the Academic Staff Training and Development (AST&D) sponsorship programme for academic staff in selected Nigerian universities to pursue higher degrees at Masters and Doctoral levels. Potential beneficiaries include those in academic, technical, and technological fields.
Academic staff without Masters and PhDs in their area of focus are encouraged to apply for the sponsorship. Interested staff are to take advantage of the opportunity by submitting required documents, including a letter of admission for a higher degree programme, details of supervisors and projects to be undertaken, and a complete schedule of fees covering tuition, accommodation, feeding, and laboratory costs.
Applicants are also expected to submit a letter of appointment as staff of the University of Lagos, two copies of duly completed Bond Forms, a duly completed TETFund AST&D Nomination Form, a recent Curriculum Vitae including email address and telephone numbers, photocopies of all academic credentials, and a report of medical fitness obtained from a government hospital.

Applicants should note that:
The fund cannot be used for a second Master or PhD.
The fund/grant is tenable for staff of the University of Lagos in other institutions in Nigeria and cannot be used in the University of Lagos.
