UAES Umuagwo Opens 2026/2027 Admission for Candidates With 150 JAMB Score

Admission into the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (UAES), Umuagwo for the 2026/2027 academic session has officially commenced as the institution invited qualified candidates across Nigeria to apply for its undergraduate programmes.

The university announced that candidates who scored a minimum of 150 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply for admission into various programmes across its faculties.

According to the institution, available programmes cut across Agriculture, Engineering, Science & Computing, Environmental Sciences, and Arts, Management & Social Sciences.

UAES stated that the institution continues to position itself as one of the emerging universities focused on practical learning, innovation, agriculture, technology, and environmental sustainability in Nigeria.

The university said candidates who did not initially select UAES as their first choice institution can still secure admission through the JAMB Change of Institution process.

“Candidates who did not choose UAES as their first choice can still apply after changing their institution to UAES through JAMB,” the university noted.

Programmes available under the Faculty of Agriculture include Animal Science, Crop Science, Fishery & Aquaculture, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Wildlife & Forestry, and Soil Science.

The Faculty of Engineering offers courses such as Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering.

Under the Faculty of Science & Computing, applicants can apply for Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Mathematics, Biology, and Food Science & Technology.

UAES also offers programmes in Environmental Management & Toxicology, Estate Management & Valuation, and Horticulture & Landscape Architecture under its Faculty of Environmental Science.

In the Faculty of Arts, Management & Social Sciences, candidates can apply for courses including Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Psychology, Taxation, Criminology & Security Studies, Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution, and Cooperative & Rural Development.

The institution highlighted several benefits available to students, including affordable school fees, uninterrupted academic calendar, quality teaching, modern laboratories, decent hostel facilities, and a secure campus environment.

UAES also stated that its hostels operate with solar power supply to support stable electricity for students on campus.

The university added that it maintains zero tolerance for cultism, bullying, examination malpractice, and strikes.

One of the major incentives announced by the institution is a 50 percent automatic government scholarship for students studying Agriculture-related courses.

“Students in Agriculture programmes enjoy a 50% automatic government scholarship,” the institution said.
