The Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission, Aisha Garba, has flagged off a regional enrollment drive for the Southern region to address the issue of millions of out-of-school children across Nigeria.

The campaign was launched at Christ the King Primary School in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with the aim of boosting enrollment and reducing the number of children without access to education through targeted, region-specific solutions.

Speaking at the event, Aisha Garba said the initiative reflects UBEC’s dedication to ensuring no child is left behind in the country’s educational system. “This effort is part of our commitment to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education,” she stated.
