The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), through the UNDP UniPod and the Abdul Samad Rabiu International Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ASR-ICiE), is opening doors for young innovators to participate in a transformative 2-day hackathon focused on peace, security, and sustainable energy.
This initiative is designed to bring together creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and emerging founders who are passionate about addressing real challenges within Borno State and the wider Northeast region. It is not just an event, but a space where ideas can grow into practical solutions with lasting impact.
Focus Areas
Participants will develop solutions around key themes such as:
- Peace and security innovations
- Early warning systems
- Community resilience
- Digital security and misinformation
- Renewable and solar energy solutions
- Clean and off-grid energy for communities and SMEs
