The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative under the Federal Ministry of Education has withdrawn applicants who failed to complete their registration process, urging them to reapply in the next application cycle scheduled for April.

In a notice sent to affected applicants, the programme stated that candidates previously matched to training centres were required to report physically within a specified period and be confirmed as “registered” on the TVET platform.

According to the statement, centres were expected to validate each applicant’s arrival by updating their status. However, some applicants were not marked as registered, prompting the initiative to assume they did not report within the stipulated timeframe.

“As a result, your previous approval and centre matching have been withdrawn, and you are no longer matched to that centre,” the notice read.

The TVET Initiative, however, disclosed that the application portal will reopen on April 8, 2026, giving affected candidates another opportunity to apply through its official website.

It added that during the new cycle, applicants would be allowed to select their preferred training centres directly during the application process.

The programme emphasised that it is a hands-on training scheme that requires full participation and strict adherence to attendance requirements.

Applicants were therefore advised to reapply only if they are available and ready to fully commit to the training schedule.
