Yobe State Government has urged all interested indigenes to apply for the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 38, as the online registration officially begins.

In a statement released by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and signed by Adamu Baba Umar, Director of Recruitment Services, the government confirmed that the registration exercise commenced on Thursday, October 2, 2025, and will close on Friday, October 31, 2025.

According to the statement, “all prospective candidates are to complete their registration through the official Nigerian Navy recruitment portal at www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng.” The announcement added that interested applicants must meet the specified age requirements and qualifications.

It stated that candidates with SSCE, WAEC, or NECO certificates must be between 18 and 22 years old, while those holding a Diploma or NCE must fall within the age range of 18 to 26 years.

The government further explained that applicants seeking to join the trade category should have valid trade test certificates in relevant fields such as tailoring, welding, plumbing, electrical works, and carpentry. Those applying for medical-related trades are required to hold recognised professional licences.

Adamu Baba Umar highlighted that the Yobe State Government remains committed to supporting youth empowerment and national service through such federal recruitment exercises. “This is a great opportunity for our youths to serve their country and gain valuable skills through the Nigerian Navy,” he said.

The statement also disclosed that the announcement would be aired two to three times daily on Yobe Broadcasting Corporation (YBC) and Yobe State Television (YTV) to ensure wider public awareness and participation.
