Applications are open for the Zero Waste Stories Bank (ZWSB) project, inviting Lagos-based civil society organisations working in environmental sustainability and waste reduction to apply.

The initiative is designed to spotlight and document powerful zero-waste stories that demonstrate practical circular economy solutions and grassroots efforts improving responsible waste management across communities. Through the programme, organisations will learn how to better tell and share their impact stories while strengthening public awareness around sustainable waste practices.

The project will select 36 NGOs and social enterprises from Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt to participate in the regional initiative. From Lagos, 12 organisations will be chosen, with two representatives from each organisation taking part in the programme activities.

Selected participants will receive capacity building in impact storytelling and digital marketing to help them communicate their work more effectively. The programme will also improve digital visibility for participating NGOs while connecting them with other organisations across the region through networking opportunities.

Participants will also receive certification after completing the training.

Eligible applicants must be legally registered NGOs, community-based organisations, or social enterprises operating in Lagos with at least one year of experience in zero waste, environmental sustainability, circular economy initiatives, or waste management. Organisations must also actively engage youth, women, or informal waste workers while promoting inclusivity.

The application deadline is April 3, 2026. Interested applicants should apply via bit.ly/4ls1KR7.
