Access Bank launches womenpreneur pitch-a-ton 2025 with N17.5m grants

Access Bank has announced the launch of its Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton 2025 programme aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs across Africa with the right skills, knowledge, and resources to drive business growth and achieve self-sufficiency.

Applications for the programme opened on Friday, September 19, 2025, and will close on Friday, October 3, 2025. Interested women entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply before the deadline to stand a chance of benefiting from the initiative.

Speaking at the press conference in Lagos, Group Head, Women Banking, Nene Kunle-Ogunlusi, highlighted the impact of the programme since its launch in 2019. She said, “This year, the program is back and better, offering women entrepreneurs the opportunity to scale their businesses, gain visibility, and connect with like-minded trailblazers across the continent.”

She explained that the 2025 edition promises a rich and rewarding experience for women in business. Selected participants will take part in an intensive Mini-MBA programme designed in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The training will equip participants with tools and strategies needed to grow sustainable businesses. In addition, over N17.5 million in grants will be awarded to outstanding businesses, while other finalists will benefit from consolation prizes and support services to strengthen their brands and operations.

Reiterating the programme’s impact, Project Manager, Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton, Oyeyipo Ifeoluwa, said, “We have trained 878 women and awarded grants of up to $175,000.00 since the launch of Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton in 2019. The programme is not just about competition; it is a holistic journey designed to transform women-led businesses and contribute to Africa’s economic development.”

Access Bank stated that the programme is open to women entrepreneurs whose businesses are registered, have been in existence for more than one year, and have at least 50 percent shareholding owned by women.
