Fate Foundation has announced that nominations are now open for the 2025 FATE Model Entrepreneurship Advocate (FMEA) of the Year Award. The organization described the award as a recognition of “exceptional work that has illuminated critical issues within Nigeria’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, whether in business growth and sustainability, innovation and technology, policy, job creation, social enterprise, or inspiring entrepreneurial journeys.”

According to the foundation, the award will highlight contributions in journalism, policy advocacy, research, analysis, and storytelling that have influenced public conversations and driven positive change for Nigerian entrepreneurs. “This prestigious award celebrates the individuals and organizations that continue to shape the narrative and create opportunities within the entrepreneurship space,” Fate Foundation stated.

Eligible applicants for the 2025 edition include journalists working independently or within organizations, new and traditional media outlets, policy advocates and advocacy groups, as well as researchers and academic institutions.

It further stated that “the submitted work must have been published or broadcast between September 2024 and August 2025,” and that entries must include a direct, publicly accessible link. Evidence of additional work in the field will also be considered an advantage.

The nomination portal is available through www.fatefoundation.org/awards. The application deadline has been fixed for Tuesday, October 13, 2025, while the award winner will be officially announced at the 2025 Annual Celebration and Awards Ceremony scheduled for December 4, 2025.
