The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment portal has opened for non-commissioned candidates to check application status whether they have progressed to the final stage of the 2024/2025 exercise.

Eligible candidates can access the portal from October 28 to November 14, 2026.

Candidates cleared for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) substance-abuse screening must review their previously uploaded documents and confirm the information. They must also select a preferred screening state and location through the portal.

After completing these steps, candidates should proceed to the NDLEA portal to register for the mandatory substance-abuse screening and select an available date and time. The test is free. Candidates should not pay anyone to process their screening.

The portal update indicates that non-commissioned candidates can now check their recruitment status. Those selected for the final stage will be instructed to complete their document checklist and book screening.

Screening results will be communicated through the official recruitment portal after the exercise. Completing the document checklist confirms that files have been recorded; it does not establish their authenticity.

How to check status

  • Visit https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/applicant-portal/
  • Enter your Screening ID. For the format PHYS-2025-, enter the six digits that follow the prefix.
  • Enter your 11-digit National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Complete the security verification and click “Check Application Status”.
  • If you have forgotten your Screening ID, use the “Forgot Screening ID?” option on the portal.

Candidates who progress should complete the steps before the portal closes on November 14, 2026.
